Baked Figs with Maple and Creamy Brie, a perfect combination of savory cheese with sweet figs and maple syrup. Four ingredients, one pan and endless praise for this simple yet rich and indulgent dish!
Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Prep figs: Wash and cut figs into quarters. Set aside.
Prep baking dish: In a round baking or pie dish, place the whole hunk of brie and arrange the fig slices around it. Then drizzle maple syrup on top of cheese and fruit.
Bake: Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until the figs begin to brown and the brie is soft and beginning to melt.
Serve: When the cheese has baked, remove the dish from the oven and serve immediately with crostini, crackers, or bread for spreading.
Notes
Cracker tips: Choose a flavored crostini for an extra flavor boost. I choose a seed and dried cranberry oat crisp when photographing this recipe.
How to use leftovers: Use leftover figs and brie on sandwiches, in salads, or on toast the next day.
Leftovers and storage: Store in an airtight container for up to two days in the refrigerator, any longer the cheese will become very hard. Leftover toasted bread will stale quickly, so toast on the amount of bread you will use for each serving.
Nutrition notes: Nutrition information does not include crostini, crackers, or bread.
